IUCN e-faunalert – Account and data deletion request
Users of IUCN e-faunalert can request deletion of their account and associated personal data by contacting us at:
efaunalert@gmail.com
Please include the email address used to create your IUCN e-faunalert account.
Once we receive the request, we may contact you to verify account ownership. After verification, we will process the deletion request.
Data that may be deleted:
– Account information, including email address and profile information.
– User profile image, where applicable.
– App records associated with the account, where deletion is technically, legally and operationally possible.
– Images uploaded by the user, where deletion is technically, legally and operationally possible.
– In-app messages associated with the account, where applicable.
Data that may be retained:
– Records that must be retained for legal, security, audit, scientific, conservation, or operational reasons.
– Backup copies until they expire according to the applicable backup retention process.
– Aggregated or anonymized data that can no longer identify the user.
Deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days after account ownership has been verified.
